The Government of Grenada has announced a phased approach to the reopening of its borders, promoting a smooth, systematic and safe process.
For this process, countries will be categorised as Low, Medium or High-Risk, for the purposes of entry requirements to Grenada. The Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has detailed the protocols for travellers into Grenada in an official comprehensive document for each of the 3 categories at: Protocols for Travellers into Grenada.
Meanwhile, the UK Government has named Grenada as one of the countries that British passengers upon returning from, will not be required to self-isolate. An official UK travel bulletin, “Travel Corridors: Countries and territories exemption list” reads, from 10 July, unless they have visited or stopped in any other country or territory in the preceding 14 days, passengers arriving from the listed countries and territories will not be required to self isolate on arrival into England and Grenada is included in this list.
Through the hard work and diligence of the Government of Grenada and the Ministry of Health, the coronavirus was successfully contained by closing borders since 22 March, imposing a limited state of emergency, social distancing, the wearing of face coverings and screening and testing. Grenada presently has no active cases of Covid-19 since 18 June with only 23 positive cases recorded. Finally, as of Tuesday, 8 July 2020, the curfew has been lifted in the tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The relaxed measures come on the heels of Grenada’s success in being a Covid free destination and our preparedness for the gradual reopening of the borders.

The border is opening in three days for domestic travel but there are no flights or airlines…
To add to the comments above, if this is a phased approach to reopening Grenada’s “borders”. Does this also include arrival by sea? Or is this just arrival by air?
I would love to come home I will abide with all requirements but I have my father house no one live there can I quarantined there? Or do I have to spend money to quarantine
Just a bit of clarification, for person coming from the US would there be state quarantine, turn back or self quarantine because that was not stated only for people coming from.the medium zone. Was it an over site what is the protocols for people coming from the US along side with testing
Can’t Grenadian who r in Trini for the last 5 months in Trini can come down on the car go boat on Thursday ?
These protocols are very confusing, and don’t even make sense.
1. What does “limited movement” mean? Is this a form of Quarantine?
2. Do all travellers have to quarantine, even if they get both negative COVID-19 tests?
3. What is this app? Most tourists do not travel with their phone.
4. Where is the list of “approved” hotels?
5. Why is the negative COVID-19 test result done within 7 days, it should be 5 days maximum.
These protocols are not well thought out, and require clarification.
@Melinda. Agreed, the government should put out exactly how they into go about opening without any confusion.
