Ally Campbell, get your mind out of the alley. Note that your name is spelt differently. So get your mind out of the gutter with your racist name calling. Yes, on average, dogs has always roam free here in Grenada, and those that got run over by vehicles has never given cause for their owners to react the way the Kavanaghs did. You can’t be ” wrong and strong” , let alone taking the law onto yourselves and “dish out” punishment as would a judge and jury. And when four people gang up and beat you within inches of your life- in this case, in this present world condition we live in- why would these four people feel sssoooooo priviliged if not for their us/them mentality.
Well, no one is above the law here in Grenada. No one is allowed to take our law into their hands and Trump it. This is Grenada, not the ” dis-United States of America”. …and if you don’t like us, get the “F out”.
Well said, Mr Edwards
Just listen to their pathetic, robotic, insincere statement, attempting to presnt themselves as reasonable and rational people. What they cannot mask, is their barely disguised contempt for the black people they live amongst, and the centuries old structures and ideologies that allows these people to think that they can go anywhere in the world inhabited by black people, and do to them exactly as they please. I imagine the Grenadian police shackled by their mental slavery, clearly intimidated and frightened by this evil couple’s ‘whiteness’ will struggle to find the courage to arrest them – fearing the economic fallout any bad publicity will bring. Metaphorically, this privileged white couple think they can put their knees to the necks of the Grenada police and its citizens – whose lives they must surely believe is beneath that of a dog. But black people will forever be subservient to these shameless, brazen, racist white people and their wickedness until they decide to wake up. Go to any white country and assault a white man and see how much time you will serve in prison for assault and battery. I rest my case.
Wouldn’t the production of this video of defense, as a statement of innocence prejudice the legal process of a fair trial?
Give them the option of immediate deportation or receive the same punishment they issued to the victim.
At the end of the day, if they did assault the guy for the accidental death of their dog they would be in the wrong. They should insure that their pet is kept in their yard or home where it cannot get out in the road & be accidentally killed. Everyone who loves & cares for their pet knows it is on them to keep your pet safe. unlawfully detaining a person is wrong.
Ally Campbell,
You are very sick, please seek immediate treatment.
This comment seems to be offensive, why hasn’t it been removed?
Worst one’s comment suggest punishment without trial which suggests a terrible mindset as the preference is to believe only one side of this sad situation which is not Justice but racism. A fair trial must take place with no perjury allowed.
This needs sorting out by British intervention. Reverse independence. Get a proper white governor in and some proper white coppers and judges. See how quickly racism ends and Grenada flourishes then. Can’t wait!
Let go of this slave mentality! Why would we need a white governor and white coppers in a black country.
To run the place fairly and honestly for sure.
Reading the majority of these Comments, every “white” person” considering Grenada as a destination would quickly turn away. It will also cause those already living in Grenada (me) to plan to move out asap. The logic behind most of the Comments is that if you get involved in any incident (however minor) with a non-white person, you will be immediately judged guilty, with calls for immediate deportation. What an extremely sad state of affairs.
As a “white” person, I find this absolutely untrue.
Just don’t act like a moron and physically assault people and you’ll be fine. Hell, even being a moron is acceptable, just don’t assualt people. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you have a moment of insanity and do assault someone: Apologize and take responsibilty for your actions, don’t sit on your high horse and pretend you did nothing. And definitely DO NOT record some insane robotic statement and send it to the press.
Some of the comments here are definitely borderline racist, but if that’s scary to you then you must have never been on the internet before.
Well said Kris!
Please remember there are two sides to every story and then there is truth. Please Grenadians do not prosecute, them because they are white. They are Grenadians. How you handle this situation, could have devastating effects on your bread and butter.
@Slice. It’s people like you with this kind of mentality that will allow such behavior to continue without consequences. You are suggesting Grenadians to stand down, trampled on all in the name of a few dollars…that is very disgusting and should be ashamed of yourself.
Obviously their value system place this poor guy lower than their dog in terms of their lack of a human value system – its a dog folks and it ran after the vehicle there never any intent to kill the animal – in the final analysis you figure you can afford ah better lawyer so hes lucky you didnt kill him.
This paper is like some North Korean outlet, sensoring and removing people’s post
OMG! seriously! They have the nerve, as we say in Grenada ” They have their belly” to make a video basically saying people should shut up and let the law take it course. Well! First of all, you took the law into your own hand when you decided to assault Mr Smith instead of waiting for the police.
Then the police or law as you say, refused to arrest you all at the crime scene. (Yes it was a crime.)The same law that only took action after Grenadians took to the streets, the same law that told the Smith’s to “take take it up privately” and yes, the same law that your husband work for.
We Grenada are going to have our say, and we are saying we are not going to tolerate foreigners in our country that is going to take the Law into their own hands and miss treat our people, because of their racist ideology which make them think that their is More important than a black man.
We don’t kneed people like you to build a better Grenada, we are doing just fine by our selves. ( Mad like hell)
@Baker, very well said. These people should be jailed and then deported. The police officers should be fired. This is disgusting on all levels.
They need to apologize to the family and the grenadians recompense the man and move on the dog should not be in the street and the keys should not be taken away or bitten done wrong is wrong point blank
So what exactly did they accomplish? These emotional robots should be tried for their crimes. If found guilty they need custodial sentences and then deportation after serving their sentences. Grenada does not need this riff-raff.
