The Government of Grenada wishes to inform the general public and persons arriving in the country from high risk areas that they must undergo a mandatory rapid test, following which they will be required to proceed to a government approved accommodation at their own expense.
With the country’s borders now open for international flights, this decision is in the best interest of public health and safety in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially since the border re-opening process takes into consideration the possible health risks posed by passengers coming from different regions of the world.
As per the Emergency Powers (Covid-19) Regulations, government wishes to remind all that any person who is asked by any official of the Ministry of Health to submit himself to any testing for Covid-19, shall submit to such testing.
In addition, any person who is directed by the Ministry of Health to submit himself to self-isolation or quarantine, must comply with the direction.
A person who contravenes or fails to comply with these Regulations, or any direction for the purposes of these Regulations, shall be guilty of an offence.
Government reiterates the importance of observing these regulations in the interest of public safety.

Please explain how long is the quarantine in Grenada coming from England, Canada and America? Is it limited to the time to get PCR test results? And if negative, you go home. If positive you remain for addl testing & observation?
They are government workers, you don’t expect them to do their job do you, answer an email, god forbid ??
Also it seems the health workers at the airport seem to have their own set of rules. People from medium risk countries who test negative on a PCR, do not have to quarantine for more than 48 hrs, purely awaiting the results.
If negative, no further quarantine is required, as is shown on the Pure Grenada website link, but this is not what the health officials are doing at the airport, they are sending people with negative tests to quarantine for 7 and 14 days.
Some of this I have heard second hand but two I know first hand. It is wrong, these officials need to be trained properly or stop being directed to send people into quarantine facilities, not sure which one it is, but needs to be fixed.
I was under the impression that persons entering Grenada needed a negative PCR test in the first place. We know those rapid tests are junk and give false results. People should be allowed to self isolate like during the lockdown. Quarantine is supposed to be for those with symptoms.
It would help if the government and its agencies answered emails making enquiries as to clarification of the advice.
