Grenada has recorded one more positive case of Covid-19, bringing the total to 7 active cases.
Today’s new case is imported, and is a 17-year old male who arrived in Grenada from the United States on 13 November 2020. He has been in quarantine with his family since his arrival and was tested as per the protocols. The other members of his family have tested negative, but will remain in quarantine until medically cleared.
All 7 active cases are under quarantine.
The Ministry of Health reminds Grenadians and visitors of the importance of adhering to the existing public health measures, which have shown to be remarkably effective in reducing the transmission of Covid-19.
The safe use of masks and other face coverings over the nose and mouth, the practice of proper hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette, physical distancing of at least 6 feet, and compliance with instructions for social gatherings, quarantine and isolation must be strictly observed.

well the only reason why government letting people into the country is because PEOPLE WANT THEIR SALARY AND PAY. THATS WHY TOURISM IS GOING TO OPEN UP AGAIN. When we shut out foreigners this is what affects us. ITS EITHER YOU GET NO PAY AND EARN NO MONEY AND GO HUNGRY or you let foreigners into the country for your own benefit!
The whole thing is a mess. With so many false posatives due to over multiplication of the bacteria in the PCR test it is hard to know who really has anything. The inventor of the test who created it for Aids stated quite vigorously it was never meant for diagnosis, yet that is what we are doing. We need to screen, and even if they are false posatives it is better to be safe than sorry. We are probably delaying the inevitable, it is out there, it is waiting for a slip up.
Despite what the various bodies are saying the 95% success rate of the vaccines is just smoke and mirrors. With the Moderna trials of 30,000 people with 90 non vaccinated people getting the virus, and 5 of the vaccinated people getting the virus, meaning 29905 didn’t catch anything so the natural immune system seems to have done a pretty good job… Surely.
Even the great Fauci says the vaccines so far, will not stop you catching it, and will not stop you having symptoms, athough maybe they will be slightly less, and it will not stop transmission. So you have to wear masks, keep your distance, and isolate. The new normal will be the old normal until the younger healthier people have been infected one way or the other, and finally the old and sick can come out to play.
Grenada should not be letting Americans come to Grenada..the passengers themselves should stay in America and read the news, watch the television..there they will get knowledge that COVID-19 is real. perhaps they want to help spread the virus.
