Air traffic between Grenada and UK suspended

21 December 2020

The Ministry of Civil Aviation informs that the Government of Grenada has taken the decision to suspend all air traffic between Grenada and the United Kingdom, effective 22:00 (AST), Sunday, 20 December 2020, until further notice.

Anyone who has been in the United Kingdom in the previous 14 days will not be permitted entry into Grenada.

This decision, taken in line with many other countries, is to prevent, as best as possible, the introduction into Grenada of the new strain of the coronavirus recently discovered in parts of the United Kingdom.

Scientists have advised that this new strain of Covid-19 poses a new health risk, as it appears to spread more easily, and may be up to 70% more transmissible than the earlier strain.

We extend apologies to all our stakeholders, including the airlines, and our nationals and friends in the United Kingdom who were scheduled to travel to Grenada in the coming days.

As this is a developing situation, decisions have had to be made quickly, and in the best interest of Grenada. We will continue to closely monitor the developments related to Covid-19 in the United Kingdom, and make further adjustments to Grenada’s entry protocols accordingly.

We have a global health crisis. Huge amount of information and warnings being circulated by governments.
Lots of statistics and charts, but notably extremely LIGHT on tangible evidence!
Politicians, scientists and sociologists can advise and inform, but little of what we are told should be accepted as fact unless it is supported by clear evidential findings.

Essential for people to be informed not just controlled.

We did not suspend air traffic, England shut down its country. We need a reality check. We own no planes to suspend traffic. Plus we are still run by England despite a flag and independence celebrations, which we need to stop fooling ourselves with all over the place. We will start making progress after we stop lying to ourselves about fundamental things.

This is getting far more serious than we expected as scientists are able to identify the different types of this virus but no one has been able to identify where it came from originally nor why all of a sudden it is affecting the whole world.
In saying that it is so lethal that if you are tested positive they will tell you to self isolate for 7 to 14 days and you should be fine .
If scientists can do all these research to identify the different types of this virus that all of a sudden is a treat to mankind then I have to question how and why .
