Effective 1 January 2021, all arriving travellers to Grenada are required to pay a one-time US$150/EC$410 Coronavirus (Covid-19) test fee, which will cover their day 4 test or any test taken while on island.
Children under 5 years of age are exempt from taking any coronavirus (Covid-19) test in Grenada.
Travellers can pay the test fee ahead of their trip through a simple, convenient and user-friendly online system, which can be accessed at pay.gov.gd.
If unable or unwilling to pay through the online system ahead of the trip, all incoming passengers will be required to pay this fee at the Maurice Bishop International Airport upon arrival.
Although this has been a plan in place since Grenada reopened its borders in July, it has so far only applied to individuals in home quarantine.
Up until now, all other travellers have been tested at the expense of the State.
Beginning 1 January also, geofencing devices will be available for travellers in home quarantine or at designated smaller hospitality accommodations, so that those individuals can be actively and continually monitored.
The US$55/EC$150 payment for the devices can also be completed online through the same site; pay.gov.gd, or can be made upon arrival at the Maurice Bishop International Airport.

Hey there all u money hungry people.. your country depends on tourism. If I have my vaccine I should pay. All I should need is proof. Being ignorant is what you all are. Visitors please don’t visit grenada. They don’t need our money
I have an upcomig trip to Grenada , I will have had 2 Covid vaccines by the time I travel. How does this change things ? There needs to be guidance on travelers with a covid vaccine.
I am sure that Keith did not pay for the covid testing. So why is he profiting from the misfortune of others.
Can the test be taken before arriving in the country like 24/48 hours before, with proof? What about if you have been vaccinated? Vaccines now being rolled out in Europe and the USA.
A bit too late imho
What about those nationals stuck overseas and want to return but don’t have any cash at this time.
When they eventually do get here who is going to pay for them ?
While I feel sorry for Grenadains who are stuck in foreign lands…I believe that this fee is right.. Grenada has limited resources. Those who have money to come home on holiday should pay for the testing…or stay where you .
While I feel sorry for Grenadains who are stuck in foreign lands…I believe that this fee is right.. Grenada has limited resources. Those who have money to come home on holiday should pay for the testing…or stay where you . People wear your masks, wash your hands and keep your distance.. no loitering.
Please tell me if I’m wrong please? Tourists and visitors only pay for accommodation but get a free covid test, and nationals that want to isolate at home only pay for the covid test?
This does costs money so you will need to pay for it! it is not for you cheap poor Grenadian people.
it costs lots of money to do testing so you must pay for it if you want to or not. nothing if free!
Exactly why I had to ask if I was a dunce. I know I’m reading correct.
The article states that only Grenadian nationals that have homes to go too have been paying for COVID 19 tests, whereas tourist and visitors tests are paid for by the state.
Hold on… wait a minute!
Are you trying to tell me that thus far, only Grenadian nationals returning HOME had/have to pay for a COVID 19 test whilst the Grenadian government are paying for the tests of visitors and tourists.
Someone please justify this for me as I must clearly be a dunce.
Listen. For everyone okay. The Government does not give foreigners a free pass to this country! They will have to pay for it too! They will need to pay for it because they are anyways richer than us so it makes more sense.
No the article states that it will be for everyone in the future BUT thus far only Grenadian nationals/ residents have to foot the bill for their own tests and tourist and visitors tests have been paid by the state.
well like i mean there is no shame in the game. we need money one way or the other. thats why our government give tourists a free pass. if they had to pay so much for the testing do you think tourists would bother to come here again?
I came in last September as a returning national, i paid for a test in the uk then had one in Barbados and again on arrival in Grenada neither of which i paid for
