Statement from RBC Royal Bank on industrial action

RBC Royal Bank, operating in Grenada as “RBTT”, is extremely disappointed with this unfortunate sick-out action being taken by employees with the apparent support of the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union. The frustration and inconvenience experienced by some of our clients seeking to access banking services during this time is understandable. We sincerely regret that this action is disrupting their normal routines.

We are committed to resolving this, and any other outstanding employee-related issues in accordance with the established dispute resolution procedures in the collective agreement, with business continuity and the interests of our employees and all stakeholders at the forefront.

RBTT clients in Grenada who are impacted by this industrial action may continue to make use of our digital banking platform, our mobile app, or our ATM network to perform most day-to-day banking transactions. Clients may also contact our Advice Centre at +1 (888) 847-5803.

RBC have no shame saying about they are disappointed with the workers in Grenada. The workers are disappointed in RBC that they don’t want to follow the laws of Grenada. And give the workers the option of taking their pay off and be terminated or continue with the new employer. RBC refuse to accept the labour minister ruling. The law of the land should be obeyed and the prime minister have to stand up for his citizens and don’t sign the vesting order. RBC is not above the law
