St George men remanded for spate of break-ins

Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, St George, arrested and charged a River Road resident for 12 property crimes over the weekend.

Charged with 6 counts of Stealing, 5 counts of Housebreaking and 1 count of Attempted Breaking, is 43-year-old Joshua James. The value of articles stolen ranges between $8,000 to $10,000.

In an unrelated matter, 18-year-old Renae Francis of Laborie, St George, was also charged for Stealing a Motor Vehicle valued at $20,000.

Both men appeared at the St George’s Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 6 April 2021, and were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and will reappear in court on 16 April 2021.
