I just hope the authorities are not using the Rapid Antigen Test (AT) to diagnose a “case” because they just won’t cut it: “This study shows the poor sensitivity of AT in asymptomatic subjects, specificity being however excellent. The performance results fall below the World Health Organization recommendation of 80% sensitivity and question using AT in general population, especially when asymptomatic.” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34134035/

Lockdown is an effective and necessary TEMPORARY control of Covid, but the only way to stop it in its tracts is to vaccinate and continue wearing masks. Without vaccinations, the cycle will repeat again and again as restrictions loosen, the citizens begin conducting regular activities, and the virus mutates again.

If lockdown stops the virus in its tracks and incoming travellers are quarantined enough time to ensure they are not let out into the community with it then it can stopped.

With the longer quarantine periods at borders we were able to manage it for over a year. Make all inclusive holidays a thing, vamp up our hospitality services to offer more attractive services during their quarantine stay. It can work!

Two week full lockdown, no more spread of the virus, the virus dies.

Quarantine for ALL passengers 7-10 days. Test on last day. If positive, remain until medically cleared with a negative test.

No more community spread, no risk of persons having the vaccine on entry and spreading it within the community.

I am poorer than poor but I won’t die with two weeks in quarantine.

Grenada needs to make themselves more attractive to tourist to stay longer in quarantine. Hotels can offer the best all-inclusive quarantine offers and services so that tourist do not feel as though they are not missing out by not leaving their quarantine hotels for that length of time. Get creative with what quarantine hotels have to offer.

This WILL STOP Covid19 in its tracks and free Grenadians to live freely again!

To put this into a global context, the New York Times is reporting that Grenada now has the highest number of new cases per capita of any country in the world. If you are unvaccinated, or have received only one dose, please use these quarantine days to go out and get vaccinated.

Hi Eric…can you provide a link to the referred story or what search to find it? Based on my calculations, that seems plausible, but a reference would be helpful.

        Found the data Eric referenced.

Most cases and deaths per capita, least number of fully vaccinated people.
