A new executive to administrate the affairs of the Conference of Churches Grenada (CCG) will be presented to the public in the form of an installation service that will be held on Sunday, 23 September 2018.
The new chairman is head of the Methodist community Rev. Sylbert Prescod and the installation service will be held at the Methodist Church, Green Street, St George’s.
The other members of the executive are Vice-Chairman Prophetess Wendi-Ann Ruffin; Executive Secretary Valorie Ramoo; Treasurer Diana Gibson; and Judy Benoit as the Public Relations Officer.
A news release from the CCG said that the installation service will begin at 5 pm and some of the persons scheduled to attend are Governor-General Dame Cécile La Grenada; Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister Emmalin Pierre, past executive members as well as other government ministers and parliamentarians.
The CCG is a member of the Caribbean Conference of Churches which is the regional ecumenical organisation formed by churches in the Caribbean. Its role is to serve the churches in the cause of unity, renewal and joint action.
