Grenada is among six Caribbean countries included in a list of 63 that are eligible to participate in two United States visa programmes this year.
The H-2A and H-2B Visa programmes allow US employers to bring foreign nationals to the United States to fill temporary agricultural and non-agricultural jobs.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) says apart from Grenada the other Caribbean countries identified for the programme are Barbados, Belize, the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Jamaica.
The USCIS said each country’s designation is valid for one year from 18 January 2014.
