A release from the Cuban Embassy in Grenada states that the Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Trade Treaty of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP) on Ebola, began today, 20 October, in Havana, Cuba.Â
Grenada, Haiti, St Kitts and Nevis Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Ecuador, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and St Lucia will participate in the summit. ALBA members, the United Nations (UN), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) will also participate in this extraordinary meeting. The Summit will aim to address, in a joint manner, the Ebola epidemic.
Dr Clarice Modeste, Minister for Health leads the Grenada delegation.
