  • 2 police officers suffered stab injuries
  • Shot man succumbs to injury

A man is dead, and 2 police officers who suffered injuries after the man stabbed them on a busy street in the Town of St George, are hospitalised.

“Two police officers, one male and a female, are currently hospitalised after being allegedly stabbed by an individual in the Town of St George. The incident occurred about 12:45 pm at Young Street, St George’s. One man has been shot and is also hospitalised,” said a release from the Community Relations Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF).

The incident occurred metres away from the Young Street entry of the Criminal Court which is presently housed in the CLICO building. Police were unable to confirm if the assailant was a prisoner.

This is a developing story, and more information will be added shortly.

let me be the one to tell you not everything they say is true. the police withheld information about that case (which is still an on going case). yes the man was shot but was not shot to be killed, he is still alive and in the hospital. his father took matters into his own hands and decide to go and kill any officer in uniform he sees. the two officers which were stabbed was not even on duty when they were stabbed. the man came out of nowhere and the officer that shot, shot in defense. I could understand if he had went for the person who shot his son but no he went randomly killing. i bet what they said on the street is something different.

I visited Grenada a couple years ago. I was in st. George’s and spoke to an officer about the fact that they are not armed. He told me Grenada is a peaceful place. Look what happened now

What does the prime minister got to do with someone attacking officers patrolling on the streets?
People have their personal problems with the police for whatever reasons.
This is a perfect example of how our children friends and family in uniform can go out to protect our nation and it could be the end for them.
It’s high time to start arming both officers on duty so they can cover each other back

Notice how Grenada has become quite violent within the last couple years?
Notice how often police are conducting live ammo firing at Pearls?
Notice how the government is touting anti corruption?
Notice how China is sneaking up on Grenada?
Notice how the people are becoming unhappy?

Well I’d like to personally thank the assailant for not sticking around to be a burden on the taxpayer.

Heard a alot of chat about this case. Everyone talking.
Personally, hope none of it is true, please God.
Was this the father of a man who was shot by the police a few weeks ago for something of nothing?

Prime minister, what is going on and more importantly, what is this government going to do to get this under control?
