Prime Minister, Dr the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, will deliver an address to the nation on Wednesday night.

Dr Mitchell’s address will focus primarily on the Covid-19 pandemic and other topical issues affecting the country.

In the past year of dealing with the impact of the pandemic, Grenada has been largely spared the onslaught of a health crisis. However, the financial impact of the pandemic has been severe, halting operations in some sectors and leaving many Grenadians unemployed.

The country is now in the midst of rolling out its Covid-19 vaccination programme, in preparation for a possible return to normal life. The Prime Minister is expected to encourage responsible behaviour among citizens, as it relates to adhering to the recommended protocols and getting vaccinated.

The Prime Minister’s address will be broadcast live on GIS TV, Channel 22 at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and on the GIS Facebook page and YouTube channel. The address will also be broadcast by other radio and television stations and streamed on various social media platforms.
