The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information is extending the suspension of face-to-face learning, based on the guidance of the Ministry of Health.
Given the fluidity of the Covid-19 situation in Grenada, and the need to balance education and health, the Ministry says school will remain online until further notice.
While it is concerned that some students are currently unable to participate in online learning activities, it says this decision is in the best interest of all concerned. The Ministry says it will continue to be guided by the advice of the Ministry of Health, regarding a possible date for the return of students to the physical classroom.
It commends all stakeholders for the invaluable role being played to support the continuation of teaching and learning, as we grapple with the challenges associated with the pandemic, and is heartened by the many reports of dedication, creativity and determination of teachers and principals.
The Ministry of Education also extends its sincerest condolences to principals, teachers and education officials who have recently lost loved ones to Covid-19.
It reminds all that vaccination offers protection against the deadly virus and can help prevent severe disease, hospitalisation and death.

Hmmmmm, does this also apply to SGU? Or do they have different rules?
I understand you. This won’t apply to them because they made all them be fully vaccinated before they could enter the country. Plus they have mandated masks in person with the security giving out fines to the people who don’t fall in line. We’re all trying to do our part to end this madness.
From: Xi Jinping Thought, Chapter One:
A laptop and internet access for every Grenadian child in need, provided by the glorious People’s Republic of China.
Additional substantive financial support from the Doctor Charles R. Modica Family Trust.
Thank you, Doctor (and Chancellor!) Modica.
Once all students receive their device and the government ensures ALL households with school age children are given broadband connection then I see no reason the return to the physical school grounds in the near future. Technology has allowed students to have virtual sessions with teachers and classmates allowing for 6 sessions a day. Once all teachers and pupils get accustomed with the platforms I see no reason to rush children back to the school building.
Let us take the safety of households seriously. Many of our children are not yet ready to go at it alone to keep their hands off their faces and not pull down masks when they have and itch etc.
Let us ensure that there is no risk to our children before returning them to schools.
Once again our beloved teachers are away from the class room which is of no fault of theirs and we hear nothing from them concerning the recent events.
Our children have had a very tough time and it in our best interest to give as much support to them as we can so all the BIG establishment out there please put your heads together and come up with ways you can assist these kids who are unable to access the internet to get some education.
