It is with great pleasure that we announce that Kendra Stewart, née Hopkin, Deputy Managing Director of the indigenous family-owned Blue Horizons Garden Resor,t has been voted in as President of the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) by her peers.
Hopkin was raised in Grenada and is the third generation of a local family who has set the bar high as pioneers in the Grenadian hospitality industry. Kendra holds a post-graduate diploma in Business Marketing from George Brown College in Toronto, Canada and a Food and Beverage Management certificate from Cornell University in New York. Throughout her travels and work experiences, she honed and developed hospitality skills, namely, Marketing, Guest Services and Operations. After holding Management level positions at InterContinental Hotel and Hyatt, she returned to Grenada as Assistant Manager of the Green Globe Gold certified, Blue Horizons Garden Resort.
No stranger to the GHTA, Kendra was previously elected to the Board of Directors as Secretary in 2021. As President, Hopkin will continue to diligently advocate for the growth, development and sustainability of Tourism in Grenada.

This role should entails extensive travel regionally and internationally. There is no way executives of GHTA can effectively manage and implement strategies without significant exposure.
What is the benchmark? How can GHTA differentiate? All other islands have Sand, Sun, Sea and international airports.
